Message from Dr Dhar, Submit your abstract for IWLH Asia 2024
IWLH JUNIOR INITIATIVES
Since the very beginning, the International Workshop on Lung Health has a strong commitment to the young generations and has put in place strategies to encourage them and give visibility. Please see below the different activities that have been developed through the editions:
GENERAL RULES: ABSTRACTS FOR POSTERS & CANDIDACIES SUBMISSION
- Abstracts should be written in English and the complete abstract must not exceed the box space (500 words). Abstracts could contain formulas, pictures or graph.
- For each abstract a presenting author should be identified.
- All the communications concerning the abstract will be sent to the submitter who will be responsible for informing the other authors of the status of the abstract.
- Submitting an abstract you should select the appropriate category (“Rising Star” or “Poster”)
- Submitting an abstract you should select the appropriate topic among the ones identified for the congress.
- Structured abstracts are mandatory stating clearly the Background/Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
- We recommend that you prepare your text in a word processing programme (e.g. Microsoft Word) and then copy-paste the final text into the online abstract submission form.
- Abstracts must be submitted on or before the closing date (January 15th, 2024). The organisers reserve the right to reject any abstract for failure to comply with submission instructions mentioned on the congress website.
- It is possible to submit more than one abstract. However, only one presenting author per abstract is permitted.
- Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors. No corrections are possible after the submission deadline. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. No proofreading will be done.
- The presenting author must accept full responsibility for the content, submission and presentation of the abstract, and retain full copyright of their abstract and presentation. By submitting an abstract, authors give consent and authorize the organisers to publish or submit for publication their abstract, presentation, picture and biography, and to include them in any congress printed or electronic publications.
- Submitters can go back and make changes to an abstract submitted when it is as a draft copy until the deadline. However, please note that finalized abstracts cannot be edited after approving the drafts.
- Conflict of Interest/Disclosure: Abstracts must include an acknowledgement of any commercial funding sources. Authors should declare all commercial interests.
- All studies must have been approved by institutional committees on ethics of experimental and human investigations.

IWLH 2023 – RISING STARS OPINION
The 2023 edition of the FUHEL Programme has been held during the 10th International Workshop on Lung Health – HYBRID EDITION
“I would like to express my intense pleasure to be a part of this workshop as one of the Rising Star. As a part of the workshop, it was a great opportunity for the young clinicians and researchers like us to present our country and research, in front of the great team and professors who have played a big role in the field of Respiratory medicine. I really appreciate the hospitality and the friendly environment the organizing committee provided me. I look forward for joining the upcoming events in newer future too.”

IWLH 2023 – THE FUTURE LEADERS MENTORING PROGRAMME FEEDBACKS
The 2023 edition of the FUHEL Programme has been held during the 10th International Workshop on Lung Health – HYBRID EDITION
3 Working days spent in a path throughout the clinical and observational research world, focused on respiratory medicine.
“Participation to the FUHEL program has been one of the most important experiences in my training career as a specialist. Being able to have a dedicated time with some of the most important experts in the field of Respiratory Medicine to ask questions and receive inputs for career development is truly invaluable and I will always be grateful for this opportunity. On top of that, FUHEL program gave me also the opportunity to share my experience and goals with a group of promising young clinicians and researchers from all over the world, building connections that will last in my years of clinical and academic career.”
